We study Latin because....

  • We can imitate God by learning to use language in a beautiful and orderly way.

  • John 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

  • At least 50% of our English language comes from Latin

  • We can more easily learn to speak the five Romance languages (Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, and Romanian).

  • Latin increases our vocabulary and helps us become better readers, better mathematicians, and better problem solvers.
